Artist Statement: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters."

Mural: "Cultivation" | Dragon76
Located along Irving Street beneath the Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway underpass. Dragon 76 created this mural in honor of T.T. Pollard and T.J. Charlton, Sr., pioneering educators in Beaumonts first Black high schools for whom Charlton Pollard High School and south end neighborhood were named. Artist Statement: “I wanted to make something important to the community – to take history and past and bring it into the future in a way that youth and everyone can enjoy."
